OPERATION/START-UP FUNDING

Welcome to the Arizona State University, Undergraduate Student Government Tempe (USGT) Club Operation/Start-up Funding page!


The USGT Appropriations Committee awards student organizations on the ASU Tempe campus Club Operation Funding, which is capped at $850 per semester. If your student organization has not taken the required Appropriations Training or created a Sun Devil Central profile, please refer to the USGT Funding webpage

DATES AND DEADLINES


Fall 2025 Funding Dates

  • Operations Funding

    • Opens: August 21, 2025

    • Closes: September 18, 2025

    • All paperwork due: November 14, 2025

​

  • Start-Up Funding

    • Opens: August 21, 2025

    • Closes: November 7, 2025

    • All paperwork due: November 14, 2025

Spring 2025 Funding Dates

​

  • Operations Funding​

    • Spring Funding opens: December 1, 2025

    • Spring Funding closes: February 9, 2026

    • All Funding Paperwork Due: April 10, 2026

​

  • Start-Up Funding​

    • Spring Funding opens: December 1, 2025

    • Spring Funding closes: April 3, 2026

    • All Funding Paperwork Due: April 10, 2026

Submit a budget request in Sun Devil Centralwithin the above deadlines. See the below guide for help.

Only the top three officers of an organization should submit a budget request since they should’ve taken the required Appropriations Training course. Submissions from advisors or general members will not be considered.

​

REVIEW PROCESS

 

Your student organization’s general budget request will be reviewed within four weeks of submission. If further clarification is needed on your budget request, a comment will be left on your budget request. An automatic email will be sent to the budget requestor – the individual who submitted the budget. However, we highly recommend that you also regularly check Sun Devil Central to avoid missing a notification. 

 

The turnaround time is conditional on your student organization being responsive to our questions and requests for clarification.

Funds will be available for use once the Senate Appropriations Committee approves the budget internally.
